Spooktacular Reads

Happy Halloween everyone. What scary books are you (re)reading today? I’m rereading And The Trees Crept In by Dawn Kurtagich. It’s a scary psychological thriller that is perfect for today.
It’s about two different sets of sisters one set in the present the other in the past and they find themselves stuck in precarious situations. Avoid the trees that creep in, the eyeless man, and the hole in the floor where Daddy’s voice is coming through.
I’d give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars. The ending will have you reconsider the entire story and it’s creepy as hell.
Read the book and have a different opinion? Feel free to say it in the comments. Debates are welcomed.
Other psychological thrillers to consider this Halloween:
  1. We’ll Never Be Apart by Emiko Jean: Twins in a psych ward on a remote island. One twin wants to be free of her other twin. She’s going to discover it’s a lot more complicated getting rid of the other twin. 4 our of 5 stars
  2. Made For You by Melissa Marr: sleepy southern town where Eva realizes that someone is obsessed with her and may just be trying to kill her and her friends. 4.5 out of 5 stars.
  3. Dark Secrets 1 by Elizabeth Chandler. Secrets, lies, and family legacies that may be more than you bargained for. 4.5 out of 5 stars.
  4. The Beast is an Animal by Peternelle van Arsdale: Alys fears that she is evil like the soul eaters because she saw them the day her village was attached. The Beast is an animal and you better watch out. Lovely nursery rhyme to go with it. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Basics

Hello everyone,
My name is Danae. On this blog I’ll be reviewing books. If you have a book you want reviewed please email me at bookgirl.reviews.books@gmail.com or at danae.tesch@gmail.com.
Please note it might take me a while with the reviews as I might not have that particular book at the time.
It’ll be out of a five star rating with a summary of the book and my opinion on the book. If you have your own opinion feel free to add it in the comments. I’m always looking for people to talk books with.
I will also be reviewing book adaptations into movies or tv series.
Again any suggestions or opinions are welcomed.
Cheers and happy readings,

Danae.
