Where do we begin when talking about A Bond of Venom and Magic by Karen Tomlinson? It is one of the best fantasy novels I've read in a long time and has me suffering a book hangover. I forgot what it felt like to have the "one more chapter" syndrome, but oh, Lunaria did it feel good.
Hugo and Diamond are out of this world and I fell in love with them from the spot. There are no words to describe how amazing the book is except askfajdswnjfke (if you can understand fangirl speak).
The world building was amazing and the characters were unique. There were a few grammar errors in it but that's just me. My only negative response to the book is that I wished Diamond was a bit more independent and Hugo didn't rescue her all the time. Although, I do love that they at least try to stop themselves.
The cover was the first thing that caught my eye it is a thing of beauty and I wished more cover would look like it.
Cannot wait for the rest of the books in the series I feel like it's going to be an amazing ride and escape from reality.
