Rise by Andrea Cremer

 Rise by Andrea Cremer is still a delight, but it suffered from second book syndrome (okay it was because Barrow wasn't in it as much).

This book has betrayal, sabotage, sister rivalry, and hell of a twists. It also filled in a lot of what happens in the Nightshade series and how Calla's world came to be.

Although spoiler like mentioned for the first book if you have read Nightshade you know how this book ends and it hurts.

Andrea Cremer is one of my favourite authors and I will always buy her books and have not read a single book from her that I have not loved.

Definitely a reread and now I want to reread Nightshade and have my heart broken all over again.

4.5 out of 5 stars. (If Barrow was in it more it would have gotten the full five stars and yes, I am aware that I have no shame).
